LGBTQ+ Health: Transgender Affirming Care and Breaking Barriers
Join us on June 25 at 7pm CT to celebrate Pride Month with a special event featuring Ellie Zara Ley, MD (she/they). Dr. Ley is a board-certified plastic surgeon and nationally recognized expert in transgender and gender-diverse surgical care. As the only transgender woman of color offering the full spectrum of gender-affirming surgeries, she brings unique expertise and perspective to this important field. In this talk, Dr. Ley will share her personal journey in medicine as a transgender woman, reflect on the joys and challenges of caring for gender-diverse patients, and explore how current policies impact access to affirming care.
